You continue your training for weeks and weeks until you have finally surpassed the hermit. You are able to lift moderatly heavy objects and hurl them at high speeds with your mind and make things catch on fire without touching them. "You are finally read to begin your journey. First of all, you must go to the temple of water on the other side of this jungle as the town." He then gives you a magic rope that can stretch to any distance.
As you turn to go, the hermit asks you not to set anything on fire in his jungle. As you walk down the jungle, you are not being followed by as many creatures as you did when you entered because they realize how powerful you have become. Near the exit, however, another tiger attacks you, and with your mind, you whip out your swords and make quick work of it.
Once you exit the forest, you look out to the miles and miles of plains ahead, and you continue to walk until you get to a large body of water with a humongous building in the middle. As you stand there in awe, you see a large serpeant-like creature jump out of the water and come back down with an enormous spash.
At that time, a voice enters your head, and you recognize it as the hermit. "You must not swim this lake or you will get torn to shreads. Find some way to get to the middle." This is when you remember the magic rope you were given.
